The vibration compaction method is a widely used construction technique in foundation treatment, which mainly relies on vibration to compact the in-situ soil without the need to add additional materials. It uses the horizontal vibration force generated by the vibration device, combined with the effect of water injection, to rearrange the particles in the soil, reduce the pore gap, thereby improving the compactness and bearing capacity of the foundation, and reducing settlement. This method is particularly suitable for reinforcing loose sand layer foundations with clay content less than 10%, ranging from fine sand to gravel sand.

The "compaction effect" refers to the new soil mechanical properties caused by the vibration and dense arrangement of soil particles due to external seismic loads. The main principle of the six head unfilled compaction method is to use six vibrators to simultaneously vibrate and produce resonance effects, which pre compress the particles in the soil and significantly improve the strength and settlement of the soil after consolidation.

This construction method has also been recognized by numerous experts from the Foundation Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Building Research.
